Srinagar, Feb 22 (KNO): Minister for Agriculture Production, Javid Ahmad Dar, on Saturday said that the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) is playing a transformative role in revolutionizing the agricultural sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the sidelines of the 'Brand Biz Fest 2025' and ‘Gongul’ festival organized by Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-K), the Minister, according to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), highlighted the significance of technology-driven initiatives in agriculture. "Gongul festival signifies the end of winter and the beginning of the farming season. Such programs help in spreading awareness about modern technology and its benefits in agriculture," said the Minister, who also holds the portfolios of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
He assured that more such festivals will be organized to introduce farmers to new technologies that can significantly improve their livelihoods.
Farmers participating in the event lauded the initiative, expressing hope that similar programs will be conducted in the future. "Such events bring everything under one roof and help us stay updated with the latest developments in agriculture," said one of the farmers in attendance.
